Inter-Unit Sudoku Competition

today soo wee, benny and me took part in this sudoku competition organised by Kranji Secondary School. This is the first time in my life that i joined an NPCC competition and i joined it because i love sudoku. haha. people in my class can verify this fact with the evidence of seeing me play sudoku on my handphone almost everytime.

wah! Benny is so 厉害 that because of him, we were first for the warm-up round, consisting of an easy level sudoku and an evil level sudoku, with the timing of 11min 20 sec . the second group' timing was way longer. Round of applause for Benny please. *insert applause here*

in the 2nd round, we were given 30 min and 9 puzzles(easy, med, hard x3 each). we were able to complete 6 puzzles and emerged champions! and i represented the team in the prize-giving ceremony because soo wee and benny dun want to go ...

anyway, thumbs up to Kranji Secondary School NPCC unit for organising such a fun competition for all of us. I belive many hard work and planning went into it and i definitely appreciate all that.

if you are also a sudoku-fanatic why not try neopets's Roodoku or Sudoku on Millsberry. I also read that Viwawa gonna have a new game called Speedoku, which i am sure is related to Sudoku and am awaiting its release! sudoku is also available on MSN messenger as one of the games you can play with your friends. don't you agree that sudoku is so fun? ;)

Bowling

today was so nice. we had a half-day for all the good performance from various ep3 groups. so school ended at 1120. but we stayed back for a chem pop quiz.

after that , what was originally supposed to be an npcc sec4 bowling recreational training session was 'improvised' to a special class and npcc outing. Soo wee brought forward the booking period from 4 to 12pm(i think) and we went to farrer park csc for bowling.

From npcc we have Chun Qi, Kiat Long, Darius and Zhong Yang
From 4 I-1 we have Daniel, Yu See, Yong Rui, Brolin, Shi Kai and Yi Chao
For people who fall under both category, that will be Eugene, Soo Wee and me :)

We had lunch at KFC after that.

It is also good to mention that our class was 3rd in the Classroom Cleanliness award in the whole of iSpark. Yay!

Career Guidance

Today's English-cum-Bio lesson was fun. We had a Career Guidance discussion by Ms Choh on End-of-year exams, A-levels, University and our future prospects.

What i will be when i grow up? doesn't this sound like some kind of a cliche primary school compo question?

Well, i think i might want to be a math teacher or a doctor.. and for my jc life(if i get thru to the other side of the ~~wall~~ school?) i might be taking up physics, chem, econs, math(at h3) and bio(believe it or not, i am not a bio student for sec 3 and4! i wonder how i am going to catch up on the syllabus)

And even after school, we still had a little chatter about what we will likely be doing , be it our careers in the future or subject combi in jc.

and the only way for me to be able to turn these wishes to reality is by getting good results for end-of -year... then i can choose my subjects to take next year.
so work hard 4i-1 ! we can all do it! :)

hi there! not been posting for a whole school term! mostly due to my laziness + tired + unwillingness?

on thursday my group (as well as most of the whole school) participated in the project's day competition prelims. Dunno how well my group did... hope for the best :) (though i really wish to give a re-examination of areas for improvement and points to take note, i am too lazy and tired!)

I find that i am still in 'holiday mood' seemingly being slack in everything .. things which i had planned to do has not been done... yet... at all. like blogging. until now then did i budge. but i finally posted something new! yay!

anyway i gonna check out club penguin for easter updates(but they will probably be up only by sunday). Well, i am doing it in chronological order... this was the first one i snapped down on my phone camera. i got a yellow petpet paintbrush.. though i will rather have one that is not of a basic color and also a pet pb , not a petpet pb
One of those Taelia Quest very worthy doing... i spent (if the figures are correct) 199np on the 1st item , 599 np on the 2nd one and only 3 np for the last one .. the np given as a reward already made up for the capital and guess what ? an taelia-only item worth 70k!!! best one ever!The only time i got sth not rubbish from tarla... oh well it is s profit after all, i bought it for 900+np, & this could be sold for 1.5k and grants an avie(which i had prior to this)
Ok, 1k np and an avie.. Hooray.
That was so exciting, isn't it?
another profitable quest. item bought at 200+ np and got back a spooky food worth around 10kok, another avie. this one is a "luck" kind of avie and i got it after days of trial and error another avie... it took many days of visiting him to get this...

the last one is actually what happened on my sister's account, but i screenchot it for her.

the irony is the words say that she picked up a NEGG but the item shows a smoothie,... a small NEGGnog smoothie..

hi! yesterday , 31st october, is halloween

for this special occasion, neopets had its annual treat or trick bag hunt, where you can get 6 goodie bag for free

this year, there is also a free 50 NC given for finding all 6 bags ! wow!

and there is also a nc mall goodie bag hunt which started quite a while ago, so if you havent gotten yours , grab it now. while stocks last

the nc mall bags are trickier to get as they appear randomly while refreshing on the nc mall home page, while the 6 meowclops bags are there when you find the correct people.

well it is because, after checking neopets html tutorial, the music file i am currently using for 怎么办 is a .wma file, which is not applicable for use with the current coding my layout uses which accepts .mp3, .mid, .wav etc.

thus the blog will be lifeless while i source out for music.

And today I had a battledome fight with Eugene and 4 battle dome fights with Soo Wee. I lost all my matches to Soo Wee but at leasat i won Eugene. So fun, just that my computer keeps on lagging and Internet Explorer keep on not responding

todayt first two period math then got math test.

quite easy( as most of the class felt.)

and then after that was recess, then double chinese. i failed my chinese summary . dunno will count as test marks or not?

then ihc. no presentation. do ws.

then bio. as ppl gp fpr their bio test, i slack! yay!

after chem.. and then lunch.

(they say that the bio test is very hard. the bonus is a chem question, with concentration and mole and whatever.)

and thursday will have chem spa. friday will have chinese test.

thursday also have physics +IHE geog!!!

summary of the week done. dunno why i fail mym chinese summary. maybe i should try summarising my week in chinese next time...

but nicely done.

our skit is about the population policies, and our main point is from "stop-at-two" to "3 or more if you can afford it". and i am acting as a malay woman in our skit with only appearances in the first scene

much last minute work but still work done in the end

i even thought our skit will be quite bad(lack of preactice, one script only, very short)
but in the end still quite ok.

=)

oh and we had NDP rehearsal today, so i went home late at around 8+ near 9 since i was waiting for my father to fetch me. but then going home on my home will probably be just the same if not later!

oo btw the altador cup has ended.

the team i supported , Team Altador, did not get into the finals. in fact it was in the last 4!!!

but then, we managed to still emerged champions..... , among the last 4 .haha...

there's sth i would like to know. that is , why is it that verytime i took the quiz they like to recommend me to some lousy teams? the first year was kiko lake, out in the first match(i later joined krawk island, until they lose and changed to haunted woods)

and my prediction is... krawk island should win the altador cup next year , if any.

this is my first time taking senior as the past 2 years i took junior one

and i already know the results since it is how many months ago. ya i got into 2nd round but given their effeciency, i have not known the reults yet.(the 2nd round was in the 1st week school reopens)

this is so long ago and i am writing it now.. because i don't have time(or is it i don't want to waste my time) to write about it(given that time in holiday is precious)

anyway, i am just randomly picked to part of it and that day my role is to just welcome all those vip and guests and teachers. and because it is raining i have to fetch them.

oh.. and soo wee , eugene and javan their group did so greatly . they were in the finals .
and i think they won 4th?

oh and the food they catered is quite nice. :)

ok this is what my chinese teacher show us yesterday from the newspaper

3/14(? can't remember the date): 西藏 the thing
5/12: 四川地震

and here is the magical thing (simple math)

3/14 --> 3 + 1 + 4 =8(i cant remember the exact numbers for this one but i remember the sum)

so 8 is unlucky number.

long break after sabbatical -- vesak day

the sabbatical week is over, and we had 3 days-- saturday, sunday(my birthday) and Vesak day(monday) to rest and enjoy and relax before school opens again.

anyway school had already opened. (it is tuesday today. or at least when i am typing this)

lets talk about vesak day(monday)

at home. i play computer. i actually want play maple but i dont want to patch. so i didnt get to enjoy the 12 hrs 2x exp . and i heard maple weapons are out again. maybe i will patch one of these days in the holidays( when i am already super busy with camps and competitions and whatsoever nonsensical trivial stuff)

oh and my mother tried making rice dumplings(粽子) today. i find it quite ok

and countdown (-1) day to my birthday

now today. tuesday

when i walked into the classroom, i immediately noticed a shortage of tables and chairs. why? because i DON'T have a table or a chair!!!!!!!(NOTE: i am not the only one without a table or a chair. i am just one of them)

in the end i only got my table and chair during physics lesson when ms choh came. mr tan is away in australia so ms choh will be the relief teacher for his periods.

but then how did i survive the first few preiods before physics? first is double maths. ms gwee ask us go comp lab. problem solved.

then recess

then double english. mr mercer ask us go lt2 ~~for movie screening~~ to watch an educational video on Gandhi. and we receive our results for english compre.

then is physics lesson

so for the rest of the day, it is very peaceful.

i forgot to mention this morning. during the reading period the class make SO much noise then teacher came in and ask us to stand up to read our 亚洲周刊．then the class still make A LOT of noise that the same teacher came in and ask us to stand on the chairs lll-.-lll

so i am off to sleep in preparation for tmr IHE exam. good luck to all!

i got a very high score for sushido! 250+ (my second highest was last time i get 243)

we did self intro today. and like the whole day do so much self intro.

2008 Term 2 Sabbatical Day 1

it is sabbaticals week once again.

this term the sabatical i joined is 华文智多星
sounds like fun

anyway the first day , it was really very fun.

for the first session, the teacher is fang dawei. we have some kind of riddles thing. then all the 成语 that have all the 123456789 etc. then also find the 错别字

then recess is 1 hour

after that even more fun

the teacher is mr dennis ong, who is also an npcc teacher officer

he got tell us jokes and all theses and also got play a game of identifying wrods from the parts

then we wil be playing "mahjong" soon. the mahjong is actually using the parts to form words then win already. however we will be playing it on thurs and fri only :(

NPCC Day 2008

this happened 1 day ago, on the 7th of may 2008

early in the morning, 5.15(on my clock) the alarm rang and i woke up. (i usually woke up much later, at around 6am for schooldays, even though i normally(&currently) set my alarm clock as 5.45am. sometimes i lazy la)

anyway, i arrived in school at around 6.15 am

went to change into full NPCC uniform.(oh yes , i love NP, NP=Neopets,Neopoints lol)

then we fall in. and then put our bags in np room
then go terraces(the sky looks threateningly menancingly gloomy)

and a flash of thunder..
ominous black clouds filled the sky
and slight rain!
so no parade for the morning flag raising

so we have our own parade back at salt centre

then take picture (squad by squad)

then hand in atc form

then sayonara!

ok go back class, ppl is some sort "amazed " by our uniform(hey i spent last night preparing it you know)

and it is so easy to spot cadets and squadmates

and then later(let me fast forward), after my afternoon lessons, i go back to nppcc room to help clean up as we will be having a room inspection

i help to clean the windows

soo wee didnt help because he got shooting. eugene came later and help to classify the sheets and later help me also

then go home. yay! finally...

oh, and mr loh is back from his reservist. he give us a pop quiz

so. the end~ :)

Open House 2008

this happened on 3 May 2008 last saturday. and now i shall be telling you about it.

Firstly i shall start from the 24th of April 2008. this is the first day when i am informed that i shall be the i/c for the Logistics Committee, Open House NPCC Display.

then it is proposal writing, refining , editing for almost the whole of the weekend until monday.

now i shall fast forward to the day before the big DAY!

after the training and meeting and all the logistics preparing, i rushed home , bathe, eat dinner, and rush to buy the cue cards , maggi mee, canned food, match sticks(altogether $12.40) then rush home to sleep in prepararion for the next day.

the next day.... i woke up at i dunno 5 sth? then all the usual orning stuff and i reach school at 6:30+am. so early. then draw all the logistics to the display area.

1st problem: - no tables! we "goub" some from one of the classroom (anyway we got return later)

then after everything is there, we arrange them. logistics can help other committes(there are survival, presentation, structures and games committee other than logisitics) if we are free. i helped eugene , the games committee i/c.

then (fastforward again), we had lunch. after when we returne,we try to start a fire(proper fire , in a stove, not arson) and i dunno how i got a little burn myself(+some burnt holes in my track pants. luckily the holes are small and at my ankle area. ) anyway, we did sustain a fire for some time(+i sustain some injuries)

then i shall fast forward again. after we return from lunch, there isn't much people coming to see us(i think they go audi). any way soon enough, we pack up and keep everything, clear np romm and go home .

so sad, i lost my receipts and cannot get reimbursement:(. anyway lets take it as i so kind :)

LESSON LEARNT:
不听老人眼，吃亏在眼前 next time i will listen to my mother and keep the receipts in my wallet ;(

i seem to notice a trand in my post... all of them revolve around a common theme--- day.

ya just look at my previous few posts. how many of them contain the word 'day' in the title?

Kougra DAY, Earth DAY, HoliDAY....

and my ancient long-forgottn posts, how many of them also talk about some special days?

Even on of the label i have is everyDAY life.

the reason i blog so much things on DAYs, i think is because that is what i want to write about. typing out some strings of words, that magically from sentences, that when decoded by the human brain, brings fond memories of the day they are written about. The things i write about are mainly some significant events that happened to me(or to others) and i am merely recording them down by the abovementioned magical process of typing blah blah blah...

for example, i wrote about earth DAY in my very recent post. its purpose is not only to remind us of its existence, but also to educate on the importance of saving the Earth. in the same post, the mentioning of Kougra DAY is a friendly reminder to all Neopians of its arrival and preparing their pets to be enrolled into the Swashbuckling Academy.

Seconds , minutes , hours. DAYs pass by. slowly, what we are losing are not seconds, not minutes, not hours, not DAYs, but weeks and months and years (and decades and centuries) it accumulates over time, slowly adding up every second lost, every second of your life wasted.

and now, seeing that i had probably wasted a few minutes of my life typing this out, i shall, before going off to type out two magical posts about two significant DAYs, type in the last few words for this post:

i saw mr lee tk today as i was going home. he ask me how was school and i told him that there was a maths test today and it was on trigo. i tell him i have not ewnough time to finish the test and he say trigo is the hardest topic.

anyway, today TWX and Javan so nice wait for 154 with me. thank you! ( maybe i shld remove my previous comment abt TWX making me stay back and not waiting for 154 with me?)

friday 11pm hand in 1st proposal, saturday 11pm again 2nd proposal. then sunday 5pm another proposal... and now monday 9pm another proposal. we are mainly required to edit our previous proposals. eugene is in (charge of) games committee and i am in logistics.

after a busy week, i think this week will even be more busier , with open house, ihe/c tests, math test...

ok we had a Physics test and results had been returned. i got an A2 but though unsatisfactory, it was still ok as i didnt really study(only last minute!)

2 chinese tests - one compre, one test us on the 诗词曲，成语

results not out yet..

and lastly the maths trail which i had joined 2 years before with TWX Ernest and Brolin.

this year each team need 6 ppl instead.

TWX(cute teddy) had formed a group with LYQ(squirrel), Nigel(banana)and Ernest (oil barrel?!?) and need 2 more ppl. so he drag me( :) )and eugene(? nothing..) 下水. so we ran everywhere across the whole school, thew whole singapore, the whole world, the whole milky way, the whole solar system, the whole galaxy... and finally we completed the maths trail!!! despite being (forced) in(to) the team, i i quite enjoy this math trail(Edited 29 April) ~~,but then 1 thing is i will kill TWX for making me stay back until so late the 154 i take is so packed/cramped/crowded! and that is so ANNA~~!

Hi! today is Earth Day. ya. so ?

Soccer Project

hi everyone! havent been posting for a long time and without eugenepestering me to post, i therefire havent post for a long time

Eugene and Soo Wee had finally persuaded me joining Soccerproject. and it snowballed to more people joining in our class .

last year, this game was played by about 1/3 of our class!

anyway this game is a game which is about managing a soccer team. all you have to do is just buy player , sell player, upgrade stadium, challenge other teams to friendly matches, fight your way to first place in leagues and cups and so on.

anyway my manager and team name are both "sengpeing". this also happen to be one of the usernames i use almost everytime. e.g. my dragonfable , battleon, and main maplestory characters are named so. there are exceptions, like for example my hwachong accounts, my neopets username, and my club penguin penguin name. but then i have a different password for all my accounts are all different so you cant hack them! haha!

The term 1 march holidays are just over...(i post a bit late) but then in the first week of school(term2) we had more holidays coming our way! 1st is thursday founder's day(no lesson but need go school) then friday... good friday. and followed by week 2 wednesday (the day i post = today) make-up-holiday-for-good-a-level-results-day(i made the name up). oh so happy!

by the way since i got nth better to do , i shall now talk about club-penguin. since there is this easter day recently, therefore, club-penguin has this fabulous egg-hunt. yay! the prize is a green rabbit ears(last year was blue) anyway you just have to find 8 eggs. i shall now reveal the secrets behind the secret hiding place of the secretive easter eggs.

not in actual order:

at the dojo. there is this egg disappearing ang appearing. click on it & i think you will have found egg #8

at the pufflee shop. top left hand corner got this fake red puffle. click. it is an egg!!!

next door of puffleshop is the theatre. the light on the left is none other then another egg.

and go down the manhole just nearby. you will reach the pool. move on to the next room on the right(cave) (if you move to the left, you will reach the boiler room-- this week's pin (or rather last week's) is there-- the book pin 'kiap'-ed between the two drawers)in the cave, there is a lamp, hiding an egg

next lets go gift shop.you will find the perfect gift-- an egg acting as a posh penguin in a poster.

now we can go over to the coffee shop(last year one egg was hidden in the coffeee maker) and head upwards. you will see a catcus on the shelf-- or rather a green egg in a pot

next, lets go out to the attic on the second floor of the lodge. bottom left corcer lise a box, with an egg inside.

its out to the dock and you will see an egg hiding behind one of the poles at the port

there you go-- 8 eggs you found in an egg-citing easter egg hunt.

the question quite hard. for 5 iii) i couldnt find the other equation. i cant solve the bonus though icrap a lot of nonsensical stuff on it.. but i hoped that i get A1.

IHC Presentation on Dutch & Indonesians

firstly i am going to start the post with these words:

"I am the Ministry of Education"

lol. that was the mistake i made during our presentation today. i am supposed to say " i am the minister for education" instead.

anyway the funny parts ( white words ) of our presentation include:

Their(Indonesian) pay is use to pay our tax/ With greater pay comes greater tax (on the adjustment of the tax and the pay of the Indonesian)
All people are equal, but some are more equal than others (on why Western educated Indonesians are not able to get higher ranking jobs in the Dutch administration)

overall our presentation is still quite a success. everyone did their best.

one group which i think is interesting was the group which did a play with one person acting as the one who wrote the journal(Choong Hsiong), one reads the journal(Yu See), 2 people acting as the dutch(Jerome & Jia Han) and 1 person acting as the Indonesian(Shao Wee).

and now i am going to end this post with these parting words:

1st English test of 2008

today we had English test. i didnt know it was today... quite hard. the compre text is like so hard to understand.

then i stayed back to eat today. cos my mother busy spring-cleaning so no time to cook lunch. but she got cook dinner

then today while i was still crossing the overhead bridge to the busstop opposite, i saw 154 just went... i wait then a 154 come. in the end, the 154 i took was faster cos it overtook the 1st one! yay! :P

i did my homework, then discuss about our ihc presentation again for one second last time(i want to discuss with them again tmr during break?) then i blog here for fun . lol

looking forward to CNY :)

SMPF Ushering

ya today got SMPF in our school an i had volunteered to be one of the ushers to help.

so i go to school at around at around 7.15am. i went to lt2 and saw huang bin. then ms gwee come . then i go to the place between block a & d(a being our current class block, d is our sec 1 class block) where there is a lane there and i just stand there and wait for ppl to come

the thing is . a lot of ppl thought i 罚站.. lol anyway there seems to be some misunderstanding cos a lot of the group go to JC side lt2... & i just realised both high school & jc side the lt2 are in block B(of the respective sections). and i forgot is usher not usherer

then at around near 9++am, we(me, huang bin & chongjiat) go and help take the food.. we setup the tables and lay out the food, the others(zi cong, kenneth, zheng huai, kai kiat) are in lt2 (emcee, time taker, photographer, giving the mike etc) there was chocolate eclairs, bee hoon, fried chicken wing and i think youtiao and drinks. after the guests have eaten , we are allowed to eat and drink too.(the caterer forgot to bring 80 chicken wings, so is like after almost everone finished eating, the the chicken wing come.. then we can eat yay!)

then after that we all go lt2 to watch the other groups present. after everything finish, kenneth, zicong & me help ms gwee bring everything to staffroom. then she told us that she taught physics last time... anyway i have my commonwealth essay to finish so bye!

Mass CARP & Family Outing

Today, we had a mass CARP. The whole of the Sec2 squad have to go to Renci.

I went to Renci directly(my father drove me there) and I saw Eugene We were the 3rd & 4th (ChengAn and Ying Jie/Ying Shen[i dont know which one is it?] were there already). Later, the others came. There were some Sec 3 but i counted 13 Sec2s. Thee rest are in school taking the school bus to here.

After waiting for a long long time... (we were asked to come at 8.45am) we received news that.... the school bus didn't come. The others at school would had to take public transport. Haha! Luckily i am not taking the school bus :p

so, we just did the normal stuff... wheel the patients, play ball games with them, and that's all.

After that we are dismissed. My father fetched me home to change .

Later, my family had a family outing. We went to Malaysia, went to Jusco, had lunch and went shopping.

Later, we went to somewhere near the beach to have dinner. After , went for somemore shoppping at Giant.

9 sth, reached home. Home Sweet Home! Watched 躲猫猫, a very nice game show. After that watched 喂，实在搞什么鬼？, a show which talks about all those supernatural things. This week's topic is Witchcraft. Very "educational"(?)[Endorsement needed].

Yes, the whole site layout has changed.. it looks err...nicer? i find it very nice... as now if i go to the games page my browser will no longer be "not responding"

Also you can now customise your pets, like make them wear clothes... This new layout will also let you be able to see all Neofriends online at a glance. However, my cousin commented that the events alert is too small... but i find it ok...

Yet another NPCC-less Friday...

Today no NPCC because of the compulsory Mass CARP tomorow... so today go home early....

Today got RP hosting... felt that Dion(the preposition) should have won... I felt that he was better ... maybe i am biased or Chunqi is, just because Dion said "Blue eyes are better than Brown... The West is better than the East" Anyway i am sure Ernest will be very supportive of Dion... not only because of their great reelationship as friends, and also because that Ernest agreed totally to the topic that [!--Copy & Paste--]"Blue eyes are better than Brown... The West is better than the East".

Next is we have health check... great! can skip PE... yay! the usual "eye check" and this time also got "backbone check"... and got 1 hour of recess ind=stead of 40 min ... yay! :)

After recess got Biology.. and i was involved in the "Bio skit" acting as Ivor Boddy... a person who got a transplant with a pig's liver 2 years ago... i think i did ok-ok...

Last on the agenda is Chinese test... Compre... 边老师 said that it should be simple... and i find it manageable( finally using a word other than ok, ok & ok)

SMOPS Marking and NPDP

Two events in one day... so busy!!!

first is the SMOPS marking from 10 am to 1 sth... we had lunch at 10am then start marking at 11... my bench in charge of marking Questions 11 - 20. I marked until i can memorise the answer liao... so fun.. and also can get CIP ;)

So sad i didnt have the chance to mark my sister's one...:(

Next is the NPDP... we had to gather at 3pm... but then we left at around 4 pm. We reached there at around 4.15. It was raining... Then we were asked to sit in somewhere first... then we walked around and around... until finally we were asked to sit at the staircase there to receive our lunch(?)... i thought was dinner... since i had had my lunch already...

Then we were asked to sit at the blue chairs.. where you can enjoy the "tribal chair dance" brought to you by ... us? because just rained so the chairs are wet...

When it ended at around 7 pm, we ony reached school at 9++... why? because we had to wait for the GOH. Then we had to go back to school to take a photo.... My uncle said that they should just let the sec4s take the photo then later use photoshop to add in the faces of the sec2s ...

Later i had a quick dinner at poolside cafe then my uncle bring my brother and i home.

i was so tired when i retuned home that i only posted this today, one day late...

Today i have NAFFA and it was 2.4 ... how tiring... but i am so happy that i passed and my timing was 15:31 and I was ranked 53 out of 59 and 3rd last of my class. I am so slow......

Today no NPCC training.. Hooray! But tomorow got SMOPS marking.... and also have NPDP... so busy!

Anyway, i will end my post here for today... :)

After school, iSpark Sec 2 had to stay back for a science make-up lesson(not one about cosmetics but about biology). Some of the videos we watched were very disgusting, like .. dont feel like talking about it as i am eating now and i do not wish that you vomit your breakfast/lunch/dinner/supper.

After that i had malay with dion & TWX as well as the others from MSP2. Today was quite slack... did nothing much ... only asked questions, which we prepared as homework, about the answerer's family.

English Common Test(T2 W5)

It was composition. we were given 5 topics to choose from.( Of course, we were advised not to choose the Expository)

I chose Q5. Differences. I wrote a very bad sci-fi about mutants... hope i can at least get a B4, better if I can get B3 la.

Friday the 13th

People said that Friday the 13th is supposed to be unlucky... or is it?

On Friday I had NAFAA(correct spelling?) and it was a miracle that i passed all the items. (I had always failed terribly at shuttle run & standing broad jump). Eugene even jumped 2.22m( 2 is his lucky number since he is born on 22 Feb(22/2).

So is Friday the 13 an unlucky day? I doubt so...

Anyway i finally knew the reason why i passed my 3rd class drill badge(yes, it is not April's Fool...). I got ** out of 50 for my uniform, which pulled up my score to ** out of 115. I got * for the pusing command(I have a bad sense of direction :P) Anyway I am so happy I passed.

So... -opens champagne-*pop* YAY! ...-_-lll

Speak Good English Pronunciation Workshop

Oopps!!! I went for the wrong date. Supposed to go for the Monday one but i go 4 days earlier... the Thursday... never mind... because like this then i can go for Quiz training :p

So i learnt a few interesting words which i never knew had such interesting pronounciations.(red-- pronouncd as radd[as in 'ra't-d]) basically i find it rather enjoyable, especially because the teacher makes the lesson so interesting with the way she speaks.9When she is showing us a negative example, you can tell thatr she is doing so deliberately.

Weird isn't it? I went for thew very lesson and the very last one ... -_-lll(the very first lesson is meant for Workshop A[i am in workshop b], the very last lesson is for workshop B[TWX forced me to go with him and Dion{I wanted to do for both Workshop A one...}]).

Anyway, lesson was as usual... we did more on phonetics...

Interesting thing I would like to share:"And then, when?"-- pronounced with tongue not sticking out...

Mrs/Miss(?!? Which one? ... i don't know...) Tetenson(?!? correct spelling?... i dont know...)told us that to make friends you can pretend to know how to read palms as people likes to have their palms read... and not being asked yes or no questions...

In case you do not know, Club Penguin recently held an easter egg hunt which players have to find 8 eggs hidden everywhere.(don't worry, clues are given... Phew!)

NPCC training of 2007T2W3

This week there is only Wed training sinceFriday is Good Friday(holiday... yes! :P)

For Wed trainings Javan & I only go for the RTs and PTs. Why this special treatment? Because me & Javan got Quiz training so we only go for the Rts & Pts(last session)

Today for RT we had street soccer. Although my group were the last group to play against our opponent, we trashed them with 10-0 (yeah!) thanks to Soo Wee & Run Ze for their great skills, benjamin for beng a good goalkeeper, & everyone in the team cooperating well with one another :)

The unbelievable fact is I "scored". I am not sure whether i scored( the ball went thru Javan(goalkeeper)'s legs and Javan was like trying to catch the ball and his hand might have "pushed" the ball into the goalpost instead...lol)

Quite fun, i will say. Nice Game.

Projects Day Prelims!

Not to be mistaken for PDP(Police Day Parade), Project Day's Prelims is a "day which (almost)everyone will receive clocks...".

For this year, our group is doing Cat 10a, Maths. I am the group leader & my group members are Eugene, Jit woon & Darius. We made some mistakes here and there, e.g. our persentation got some mistake(grammatical) & we also wrongly "jumped into conclusion" for our "conclusion". Overall, i think we still did quite decently... other groups like Chern Yuen, Javan i think they will definitely pass... as for us i think there is a 50-50 chance...

1st April -- April's Fool!!!

April's Fool, the day when everyone likes to play tricks, pranks and everything. It is a fun day. If you were a victim of April fool, just think of it as fun and don't be so agitated and angry like what Dion did last time when -censored--censored--censored--censored--censored-(dont think I should post this here because it is so -censored--censored--censored-).

I think that April's fool is a day which is somesort a "lesson" which we learns to forgive and forget. Forgive and forget and one would not have any enemies, hatred for others, and he will alway feel very happy as he will not be angry at someone( at least not permanently). We should all bury the hatchet. However forgive & FORGET is not a valid reason for not handing in your work & etc! (ahaha!)

Computer Games which I play

What computer games do you play?

For me there's quite a lot.

Neopets(I suppose you should have known, if you had read my previous few posts) is the game which i play most. If you would like to play you can go here. My username is ospongsengpeing, so if you would like to make neofriends with me, feel free to do so.

MapleStory (yes, i DO play Maple) is another game i played. My main character(sengpeing) is in Cassiopeia. Although this game attracts me and interests me at first, but i slowly lost this interest due to the time which I take to level up(still stuck at 29). Also downloading new patches also take quite a long time and a new patch is ususlly created in less than half a year.

Battleon & DragonFable are also games which i played. Usually i don't play these games only(meaning when i play DF, i will most probably be also playing Neo & battleon. Battleon is sometimes quite troublesome... since a limited no. of ppl are allowed to enter except for guardians who can enter anytime (but unforunately i am not). You can visit DragonFable and Battleon here and here respectively.

Also I play Club Penguin. I played before with my cousin "hide-n-seek" in club penguin, and the penguins here are also friendly. I amsure you will love it too. Every two weeks, a new secret pin will be hidden and on Thursday of every week a new Penguin Times will be released. This game, like DF & Battleon, is usually not played independently. So next time when you see a penguin by the name of niugniep waddling here, you know it's definitely me.

Pokemon Crater, a perhaps not so well known game, which obviously is about pokemon. Here, you can catch pokemon , trade pokemon and also battle. You may also probably meet my character, sengpeing, in the game. Like the abovementioned games, this is also not played individually.

Class EOTA

Posted 2 weeks after the event, on 27 March...

Our Class EOTA(End-of-term Activities) is organized by the cutest ever welfare sec in our class(since there is only 1 welfare sec in our class...)

This Term (Term1 2007) we have 3 activities in total, with everyone supposed to attend 2 of them) They are 1) Bowling , 2) LAN gaming & 3) BBQ.

the first 2 activities happen at the same time, which means that you will only be attending one of the two. Last term's Consortium EOTA we already had bowling and according to some of my classmate, they said that the LAN is not very good(sth like lagging computers, didididadada, blah blah....)

Then the BBQ. Well, i think it should be just a normal BBQ, except that it is with your classmates. (And not to forget, your teachers!) Ya, ithink that is the main difference.

I did not go for any as they are too far from my house and not convenient for me to go so far just to go for an EOTA. ( I would rather play neopets at home... :) )

Spring Cleaning

Today there is NPCC Spring Cleaning and all Sec 2 NPCC are supposed to come and help out. We were supposed to bring a rag each(which i, the forgetful one, forgot to bring :P).

For me , I and Tze Hao(Eugene's nephew), are supposed to clean the mess tins.
we tried very hard but some mess tins(those very black ones) are very hard to clean. We used thick branches( no goood as very hard to clean the mess tins), stones(effective but is actually scratching the mess tins...) and eventually our hands. Also, we used soap.
Eugene was in charge of cleaning the windows, Some ppl were in charge of cleaning the tents sheet(is that what it is called?).

After the Spring Cleaning, i went home. (later still have Class EOTA, which is in the next post :) )

By the way, tomorrow have 3rd Class Drill badge test(think i will fail again...)

Last Day of Term 1!

Today is the last day of Term One, which means that tomorrow is the start of ~~something new~~ the long-awaited school holidays!!!

Class EOTA don't feel like going... maybe just go for BBQ?

Sabbaticals -- Day 5

Last day of Sabbatical & last day of school...

Today we learnt about some rather basic things -- plants. We did some experiments regarding plants (obviously!!!) e.g. cutting the stem into 2-4 parts then putting them into beakers so that the white flowers "change" colours, observing the amount of oxygen is produced thru photosynthesis in hydrilla... etc.

Basically, I have actually summarised everything into the above text. Since I am so extremely very busy, I won't go into details, and this post will end here. :)

Sabbaticals -- Day 4

Posted about 3 weeks later, on 27 March...

Basically, for today, we did some interesting things -- styrofoam planes, parachute, plasticine boat.... It's probably the best day of the whole sabbatical week.

The 1st thing we did was the parachute. My group(TWX, 2 ppl from 2N and me), named ourselves the "Ohh-La-La" group (idea from Leefy). Our parachute was not the best... average, I think.

Next was the styrofoam plane experiment. We were given styrofoam boards to make into planes. Our group came up with a twin fusellage. (we got 2nd, i think)

Lastly we were given plasticine to make boats(or at least sth which look like a boat, but, if i am not wrong, almost everybody made bowls instead... -.-''') For our group, we used TWX's elbow to mould the boats (since it was the *cough* ideal *cough* shape). After that, we had a short quiz to recap what we had learnt.

Sabbaticals -- Day 3

Today is probably the most boring day of the whole Sabbatical week.

Firstly, we learnt about surface tension. It wasx ok. We created some bubbles using 2 methods -- using an air pump and using our own breath. Wei Xiang and I blowed some bubbles( Yay! I was better than Wei Xiang at this!). The second experiment was using detergent to "push" a stryofoam boat in a basin so that it can move. It was still ok... Our boat only moved once but it moved at a quite fast speed!

Then we had our recess. I tried playing a chapteh (my first try! :P) and i was quite bad at it... but it was quite fun.

After that we learnt about the "Characteristics of Sound: Pitch and Loudness".The only fun thing i like is playing with the tuning fork...

Next, we "played" with lemon... experimenting to see if lemon juice can conduct electricity. Then we tried to see if ~~HCI(Hwa Chong Instituition)~~HCl(Hydrochloric acid) can conduct electricity and of course, it can.

The second last experiment had sth to do with fizzy drinks. We made some raisins danced in the fizzy drinks. Another experiment was to make quail eggs float in Coke. The egg in the Diet coke immediately floated whil the other one in the normal Coke sank. We added (a lot of) salt before it finally floated.

The last experiment was a quick one. We just poured Tonic Water(what's that?) into a beaker then add in some Mentos(Ooh... Bubbles!) Then turning on the UV light, we put them into an opaque container and looked thru from a hole from the top. The Light was purple and the water was blue. Mr LeeFY was very funny. He looked thru the hole from the top and said "Oh!". Haha!

Today was so boring... I almost fell asleep(Zzz) but I didn't(I saw other people sleeping). The bad thing was we did not have the most fun experiment(or seems to be the most fun experiment[hot air balloon]).

Hope tommorow's Electric Eleza would be better... (Hopes for the Best, Prepared for the Worst :P)

Sabbaticals -- Day 2

Today was the 2^nd of Science Eureka 2007 and we had "XplosivChemi", which is about how certain things react with one another, for example the Coke and Mentos (you can try this by adding a mentos into a bottle of Coke.It really works!!!).

I find that it was really fun and exciting. We did 4 experiments(Coke & Mentos, Fire Extinguisher[Vinegar + Baking Soda], CO₂rocket[same as the fire extinguisher but more fun!!!] and Eno salt).

For the Coke & Mentos Experiment, we were in groups of 3(except for 1 group of 4). We were each given either a bottle of Coke or Diet Coke and half a packet of Mentos. My group(Wei Xiang, Zhang Yi and me) were given a bottle of Coke. The fountain we produced was the highest!!! Yay!!! As a reward we were given each a packet of Mentos!

Then we did the Fire Extinguisher Experiment[Baking Soda & Vinegar]. We had to extinguish a fire but our group only got a "half-pass"(because some water squirted out). Soo Wee's group got a "pass".

We had a 1h10min break(from 9.35 to 10.45). The break was like so long that we had nothing better to do... I watched Soo Wee, Brolin, Ke Zheng, Jit Woon and Yi Chao played Chapteh(i didn't play because i don't know hot to...)

The we did an experiment with Eno Salt. We were only told to tryt using 1,2,3,4&5g of Eno Salt.... but our group tried 1,2,3,4,5,10(!),12(!!),20(!!!)g of Eno Salt...(one of the seniors, who happened to innocently walked by, almost got shot by the liquid which squirted out... haha :P)

We also played with a CO₂rocket which is actually a bottle filled with vinegar, which baking soda as later added, then the opening is covered by a cork. This will cause the rocket to fly.... Our group(Wei Xiang, Zhang Yi and me)'s record was the 2^nd line (though the seniors' one reached the 3^rd line...)

Today was really fun! Looking forward to tommorow's ~~"Ernie Bernie's Rubber Duckies"~~"Glidery Flithery" ... Hope it's fun! :)

Sabbaticals -- Day 1

Sabbaticals Week is a very special week for all Hwa Chong students. It is a week which most of us will not be in our classrooms having boring lessons. Instead, we will go for a "workshop" to have our lessons.

For me(as well as most of my classmates), this "workshop" is 'Science Eureka 2007'!

Today is the first day and my group(Group E) was doing "Tutti Foodi", whch is experimenting with food.

And guess who is one of the trainers? I will not tell you (but will give you clues who is he, just pay more attention to the next paragraph! :P).

So firstly , we experimented with toasted bread. We used iodine to finD out that white bread contains starch(turns dark-blue) while toasted bread containd dexsterin(turns red). SadlY, the red cannot be seen very clearly(the result is almost the same as white bread).

Secondly, we did an experiment to find out the iron content in fruits and vegetables.(Too sad we cannot view the results as the trainer says it takes 24 hours for the dark particles to appear). Spinach Juice has the highest amount of Iron in it while Apple Juice has the least. We also watched a short part of X-men whch proves that there is iron in human's body(in the blood).

Thirdly, we did an experiment on apples(not oranges :) ). The green apples contain starch , which turned into sugar when ripened. Thus, red apples are sweeter.

Then, we did an experiment to find out how much sugar a food contain. We did experiments on Apple, Apple juice, Tomato, Tomato juice, Orange Juice, Milk, Cola, Water and Sugar water. What i found most fun was mashing the tomatoes(me and Wei Xiang smashed the tomatoes[diced] while the two other boys from 2N smashed the apple[diced]). Second most fun was the mixing of the different samples given to us(the Apple, Apple juice, Tomato, Tomato juice, Orange Juice, Milk, Cola, Water and Sugar water[Wei xiang is so crazy, go and mix and add iodine -.-''']).

Finally, we did an experiment to detect Vitamin C in fruits and Vegetables. This one was still OK, the boiled orange juice had all of its Vitamin C destroyed and thus cannot turn the iodine solution with cornstarch into a clear solution, but for the rest we "overshot"(added to many drops) so we estimated(haha). Carrot Juice has the highest concentration of Vitamin C while Apple Juice has the least.

Sounds fun? I am looking forward to tomorrow's XplosivChemi...

Yes, Tongue Twisters (TT) is the surprise I had in mind for all viewers of my blog. Hope you won't mind waiting so long to know what TT is! ^-^

Tongue twisters are one of the most fun things on Earth. Yes, indeed it is fun. Especially if you have created some yourself. And today i shall be sharing some fun " tongue twisters" with you! These tongue twisters come in 4 different levels: Easy, Medium, Hard and Insane. Hope you will like it!

Note: These " tongue twisters" are not real tongue twisters! However they are just like a test of the accuracy of you pronounciation! Have fun!

How to play:

What you have to do is very easy... just take a piece of paper(or maybe 2) and you can either

i) use it to cover the screen so that you can see the first word only. After that, read that word(you may need a friend to check your pronounciation!) and slowly pull down that piece of paper, so that after you had read one word, you will advance to the next word and continue...

OR

ii) write down all the words in one straight line downwards, for example:

a <--1st word

b <--2nd word

c <--3rd word

d <--4th word

... <--and so on

After take another piece of paper and cover it. Using the same way as the first method, use the other paper to cover the paper which you have written on it so that you can see the first word only. After that, read that word(you may need a friend to check your pronounciation!) and slowly pull down that piece of paper, so that after you had read one word, you will advance to the next word and continue...

Alternatively, you also can...

iii)Just tear that piece of paper into pieces. Great for stress relief! Then just read the words off the screen without having to cover the other words!(Very easy right?)

CIP @ Ren Ci Hospital

Every alternate Saturdays, I, with some of my friends from NPCC, will help out at Renci Hospital. Today was the 3^rd session I've attended. Usually, we will chat with the patients and play some ball games with them (physiotheraphy). Sometimes we will also go for a walk with them.

Today, I was with Eugene and together we went for a walk with a patient (most of them, if not all of them are on wheelchairs). We take turns to push the wheelchair.

I think that this CIP is very meaningful. We get to interact with the elderly and some of them were very kind (there were some which were rather hostile though...)

Note: 18 March will have <<仁心慈爱照万千2007>>, at 7.30pm. It is on a Sunday night.

End-of-Tests

As the title implies(or maybe not even implying, it is so direct!!!), my ordeal is finally over. All the tests which I am supposed to have are all taken. So, from now to probably Near Mid-March, I will be more free, without having to study that hard(yes, i still have to study if i ever wanted to get MSG of <2 but i just no need to study that much lar) and most importantly, I can PLAY games!!!(which includes Neopets, etc... )

And i will also have more time to blog, so expect more posts! >.<

Hard Work Vs. Intelligence -- Which do you think is more important?

If you choose to be a hardworking person, it is of course good, as hardworking people will be willing to learn things and will put in the extra effort to become as clever as those "already-is-clever" people.

Thus, when a hardworking person and a clever but lazy person both apply for a job, naturally, the hardworking and "soon-to-be" clever person will be chosen over the clever but lazy person.

Yay!

Today, we had our Science Modular Exam. I wasn't really prepared but i think i did quite ok... should be able to get an A2 at least(if i am lucky, if not... at least a B3). But quite good because No PE! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next, we had English and History. Then after that,we were told to go to Kah Kee Hall. At first i was not sure why and was thinking "Huh?!?" (as some of my classmates, I believe were thinking of also). Later, I realised that our principal,Mr. Hon wants to make an announcement(He must be VERY popular among the Sec3s and 4s, they welcomed him with such loud applause!). It was about the A-level results.

Last year we had 3 students who scored 9As.
This year we not only had 6 people who scored 9 As, but also 2(i think)who scored 10As.
We also had 25 who scored 8As.

Of course, we celebrated this VERY special occasion!

We had sn early dismissal!!!YAY!!!

EP3(otherwise known as CCA) was also cancelled!!!YAY!!!(because I forgot to bring my beret :P)

This is the 2^ndgood thing of the day. What about the first?

The 1^stgood thing is : I was not late for school.

Anti-climax? No.

Today, I woke up at an exceptionally earlytime--4am. Why so early?

Because i have to go to the airport to bid farewell to some of my relatives who are going to Shanghai, China.

That's why, when i left the airport at6.38, I thought i would be definitely late for school(because still got my brother and sister.)

But luckily for me, I was not late.(Phew! I was almost late!)

心想事成(different from 心知肚明 -.-'") means what you wish for will come true(and i bet you knew that already ;)).

Yesterday, I received my Lit Tests and i got B4, which i think there is still a lot of room for improvement (since i had actually targetted for A2.) As for IS, i got A2 A1.(orignally A2 because of some mistakes in marking but now A1, just a i had predicted in one of my previous posts. Yes, yes, yesyesyes!) It is so 心想事成(haha)!

February is coming to an end... and March is coming...

Which means that the March Holidays are coming! Yay! Expect more posts from during from me during the holidays(or probably less, depending on the time i waste on playing the computer, and homework load...etc.) I will be posting about my Sabbaticals too during Sabbaticals week, so stay tune!

I know that the title for this post is very... never mind ...

First of all, today i shall mention about a *special* friend of mine. Of course , none other than Eugene!

I would like to thank him regarding the *special* mention of me in his very *special* blog.

I felt so honoured because of this *honourable mention* . Very honourable indeed!

Secondly, is the fire drill today. The ironic thing is : it happened when it was raining...

Rain + Fire --> No fire ...

By the way, the fire drill was of course just a practise in case of a real emergency... so, it is fake...

Thirdly, i shall talk about my MSP(short for Malay Special Programme) lesson today. I forgot to do the Vocab log. Simply, all we had to do is just write one word for each day(Isnin to Jumaat) and construst a sentence with it. Then i told WeiXiang that we could probably write this:

Day ........ Word..... Sentence
Isnin ...... Saya...... Saya suka makan nasi lemak.
Selasa .... Suka...... Saya suka makan nasi lemak.
Rabu ...... Makan... Saya suka makan nasi lemak.

Today we received more news about our test

Firstly, is the long awaited English Test. My results were quite disappointing.I had actually targetted for at least an A2 (A1=impossible for me!) but i received x2 (多多益善 -.-''')!

Never mind, 1st term only. The rest of the terms have to 加油！加油! :P

Time Management

The weekend had just passed and I realised something... that time is passing by too quickly.

Today, during Chinese period, we did a 说明文 about 珍惜时间的好处。

I think that time management is indeed very important.

"劝君莫惜金缕衣, 劝君惜取少年时。

花开堪折直须折, 莫待无花空折枝。"

^{What I had learnt in my Chinese lessons :P}

Tests

Most of the tests are over (except the Science modular test) and we also had received some of our results. My IH was done very badly (because of the history test moderation) :( My Chinese, Maths and Science are still ok. My Malay I got A1 :) but it will not be counted into MSG :(

This is about all, will be updated when i got more information about this. :)
